Saw this online and thought it was very direct. This could have easily been a pie chart, or a bar chart. But the individual dot chart allows for individuals to be recognized and emphasizes the split between the democrats and the republicans. I also like the text below the graph explaining more in detail
Another thing on my mind is how great politics data is. It’s important, happening daily, and usually easily accessible And free. I think I’ll look to make more graphs in the future using this type of data.
The other thing I’ve been realizing is publications such as NY Times and The Washington Post have some of the best visualizations and I‘ll be doing more review of their stuff in the future.
